Database

Data Visualizing Posters

For this project, I was asked to build a database of 100 items which I own, and with 7 attributes to design a poster to visualize all the data.

I chose my wardrobe because I own a lot of clothes but very little storage space. Visualizing the database of my wardrobe on a poster can help me understand my wardrobe better which can be very helpful to save money in my personal case. I entered 100 records of my wardrobe into Numbers and catergorize them under 7 attributes: color, type, material, price, storage, country of brand origin, country of manufacture.

Mobile App UX/UI

Based on my database I decided to create a mobile app that allows users to easily manage their own wardrobe and also provides an online platform for them to exchange clothes with friends without the use of money. Wireframing and user testing helped me narrow down my user flow. The look and feel of the app is inspired by IOS 8 and it is optimized for Iphone 6 screens.

I created a few sets of graphical user interfaces, followed through with one and created multiple screens to demonstrate the user experience of this app.

The video demos loading the app, sorting and filtering by attributes, adding a new record, special features such as paring outfits, exchanging clothes with others, sharing and adding to wishlist and its advance search function.

Mapping

User Experience Design

This is a collaborative project based on researching and user-testing. We were asked to select a route and create a map for someone who would be carrying a 6 - foot sphere navigating from MFA to the President’s Gallery on foot. My group went through extensive research and user testing to ensure the route is the most efficient and the map is user-friendly. My role in the group was to design user flow, presentations and the final package.
